Charm City Models is a community-led fashion and performance initiative that began as a fundraising mechanism to sustain the shelter and has grown into a platform for leadership, visibility, and engagement. Operating in both Nairobi and Kisumu, the initiative supports confidence-building, mental health advocacy, and community organizing, while also linking participants to economic activities such as the poultry project in Kisumu.

Nadharia’s drag and performance work creates affirming spaces where queer expression, joy, and storytelling are centered. These performances function as advocacy and resource-mobilization tools, challenging stigma while generating support for community programs and strengthening public engagement through culture and art.
