Mabeshte Jikoni is a community-based catering and food enterprise initiative designed to create income opportunities for individuals connected to Nadharia’s shelter and programs. The initiative provides practical pathways into food preparation, catering, and service delivery, particularly for people navigating economic exclusion.
Participants are supported to work collectively as catering opportunities are pitched and secured, gaining experience in food preparation, teamwork, budgeting, and client engagement. Mabeshte Jikoni offers both immediate income opportunities and longer-term skill development, while fostering dignity, confidence, and collective responsibility. The initiative reflects Nadharia’s commitment to economic models that are supportive, flexible, and rooted in care.
