INCLUSIVE ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT (IEEP)

Under Nadharia’s Economic Empowerment Program, Nadharia CBO supports access to skills, livelihoods, and income-generating opportunities through practical, hands-on pathways that strengthen economic stability and reduce vulnerability. The program equips sexual and gender minorities and refugees with market-relevant skills through vocational training in carpentry and automotive mechanics, with participants completing NITA-accredited, competency-based instruction to enhance employability and income opportunities. In response to evolving markets, the program also delivers digital and creative skills—including graphic design and photography in partnership with Somaso, as well as emerging technology areas such as virtual reality—supporting access to digital, remote, and diversified income streams. Participants receive financial literacy, business coaching, and entrepreneurship support, complemented by mentorship, site visits to real-world work environments, and access to seed funding through a micro-financing revolving fund, enabling graduates to start or scale sustainable livelihoods through an inclusive, community-centered model.
